Action For Good volunteers had an opportunity to help a lady named Ms. Kim, who lives in Lancaster, South Carolina, currently facing a life situation that was not planned for her new year. She is currently homeless, and once we discovered her story, we absolutely decided to help her in any way we possibly could. AFG members purchased groceries for Ms Kim and drove to Lancaster to deliver it to her. She was grateful for everything we brought her and wanted to say thank you to the group! Acts like this truly make a difference for people, even if it's something small. We love Ms. Kim and all of our mmebers that contribute!

Action For Good volunteers helped the Humane Society to organize its food pantry! We always love to support HSUC and cant wait to help them again!

Action For Good had its first meeting for the New Year! We were equipped to create cards for current military deployed members in collaboration with Operation Gratitude. Members were able to gain knowledge about the importance of thanking our service members. We are committed to continuing to support and work with Operation Gratitude in the future.

Action for Good volunteers supported the Town of Waxhaw Christmas Parade by helping with event logistics and spreading holiday cheer to families along the parade route. 🎄✨

AFG took time out of their weekend to clean up their local park! We picked up trash and anything that was in the way of the nature trails and the kid area of the park.

Action For Good was able to participate in Roll Out Hope 2025! We were able to package boxes for over 200 children who are in need this Christmas Season! We were so happy to help and can't wait to do this next year!

Action For Good was able to sponsor the Town of Waxhaw Senior Christmas Party! This was such an awesome party to see our local seniors come together to laugh and have some fun. We were so happy to contribute to this event.

Action For Good volunteers were able to partner with Commissioner Brenda McMillon and Waxhaw Parks and Recreation to feed those in need and support our Waxhaw Veterans. We were so happy to do this, and cant wait to do this next year!

Kindred Promise allowed AFG volunteers to assist with their project to stuff stockings for children who are currently sick in Atrium Children's Hospital. We were so happy to help and can't wait to work with them again!

AFG had the opportunity to volunteer at the Downtown Tree Lighting Event. Volunteers were tasked to turn on the tree lights, serve hot cocoa, and help with Christmas craft/activities. This was an awesome event, and we look forward to joining them next year!
Full November Month Event 2025
Volunteering with the Matthews Family is awesome! We had a great time working with them in the season of Christmas. Volunteers loved socializing, working with eachother and meeting new people! We can't wait for next year!

Members had the opportunity to assist the Town of Waxhaw's annual festival Autumn Treasures. They helped the Town set up barricades, assist the public, and more! We are so appreciative for the Town of Waxhaw for assisting them in this event!

THANK YOU! To all those who donated to Kits for Kids 2025, we raised over 500+ hygiene kits for children in Costa Rica. Your generosity had made a significant impact to Aldeas Infantiles and a true blessing. Thank you again, we love you all!
First week of October
We had another successful week with the Matthews Family Pumpkin Patch! We were able to support them in organizing their pumpkins and helping those who were shopping for pumpkins!

Volunteers had the opportunity to represent Action For Good at the Monroe High School HSA Cancer Walk. We had a great opportunity to connect with residents, students, and other local businesses.

Our first week volunteering at the Matthews Family Pumpkin Patch was a success! We helped the locally owned family prepare for their sales in October. Our members had the opportunity to work together and lead.

Members were able to get together to discuss new ideas and events on the calendar for the coming weeks. Members also were able to discuss about 9/11 and put up a sign about it.

Volunteers traveled uptown to take the initiative to feed the homeless. Action For Good partnered up with Hacienda El Rey in Waxhaw to supply us with tacos to feed the homeless. We were able to supply 30 individuals with meals that they were truly grateful for. We hope to even make a bigger impact for the next trip we take to serve our community.

Two of our amazing members, Elijah and Lauren, helped out Common Heart last minute to help organize their warehouse items. We are deeply grateful for both of these volunteers! We are also thankful for every opportunity Common Heart provides us!

Members worked together with Transformation Church to package bins of classroom materials for teachers in local schools in Indian Land, South Carolina. This mission is meant to help teachers to reduce their initial costs of materials for the beginning of the school year. On average, teachers spend $800 of their own money to purchase class materials. Thanks to the local community TC was able to supply local schools with the help of our and other!

AFG Members participated in this opportunity to help the Humane Society organize their shelter in any way needed. The volunteers worked in hot conditions but didn't let that get in their way to help HSUC! We are so happy they gave up their time to help!

AFG members volunteered with the Town of Waxhaw Parks and Recreation to assist for the Fourth of July Parade. Members had a blast helping the Town of Waxhaw during this event and we are so gratfeul to be apart of it. AFG is looking forward to helping out for the next Fourth of July!

Members volunteered with Transformation Church to participate in their annual Hunger Project. The purpose of this event was to pack meals for those in need. Volunteers packed 150,000 meals for those in our local shelters! This event allowed members to unite for a good cause that will help others in very positive ways!

Action For Good traveled to Marvin's local park to help pick up any trash that they could find. It was a lovely afternoon to spend with the group!

AFG members volunteered for Kaleidoscope Fest is Waxhaw's spring festival held in Waxhaw the weekend of Mother's Day, and welcomes the beginning of the festival season! Kaleidoscope features a wide variety of arts and cultures from around the world.

Action For Good was invited to help HSUC with their May adoption event at Shake Shack Blakney! They had so much fun spending time with the animals and showing them off to the public!

Volunteers successfully packaged meals for families in need to support them for the week with food. This was a very fun interactive event, helping others not directly but behind-the-scenes involvement.

Our CATA President (Michael) and Vice President (Shirley), travelled to the Waxhaw Nursing Home to deliver student cards that had heartfelt messages to hopefully make their day!

Members volunteered as a team to package shoes for children in Africa. This was a crucial event to full fill the mission of Samaritans Feet because multiple children in Africa have no footwear. Lack of footwear leads to not being able to attend school, diseases or event death. Members had so much fun working together as a team at tis event!

Our volunteers from Cuthbertson helped out HSUC for their animal adoption event! They had so much fun and we are so happy that they participated with helping HSUC!

The Weddington Kids Consignment Event was fantastic! The mission was to help shoppers with items they needed during the exclusive event, bringing them to their cars or providing anything else they required. We served to help those struggling with poverty and homelessness. Weddingotn Kids Consignment Sale proudly supports neighbors through your shopping, volunteering, and donations!.

Our leadership team for AFG Cata Chapter spent their evening advertising AFG to new upcoming freshmen for CATA! Way to go, leader team!
